HISTORY

Qigong Therapy is one of the oldest known healing methods. Pictures of Dao Yin (Including Energy) & Tu Na (Vitality Breathing) dating from 200B.C have been found in Chinese tombs. Qigong knowledge has been built up over thousands of years and has been verified and re-verified over time. It is the source of all knowledge in Chinese traditional medicine, Chinese ancient philosophy and art. Like Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, Qigong Therapy is a recognized form of treatment promoted by the Chinese government’s medicare for the best treatment of the people.

HOW QIGONG THERAPY WORKS

Qigong Therapy works by stimulating the bio-energy to heal the body and mind. It works directly on the Human Internal Energy System, known in Acupuncture as the meridian channel system. Basically it is a way of retraining the body’s nervous system, circulation system, aspiration system & immune system and of balancing its energies.

In Qigong Therapy, healing energy is directed into the patient’s internal energy system to balance the Yin & Yang and increase energy flow. As Qigong Therapy normally takes place at a distance, touching the patient is absolutely unnecessary and no special equipment is required.

At best it is an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions. At worse in skilled healing hands Qigong Therapy is virtually harmless.

It should not be used as a last resort treatment but should be undertaken at the earliest possible stage before a complaint becomes chronic and therefore harder to treat.

Treatment should always follow diagnosis. Correct Qigong diagnosis can ensure effective healing.

CONDITIONS WHICH MAY BE TREATED

Qigong Therapy can successfully treat a wide rage of conditions including chronic diseases, stress related disorders, skin disorders, infertility and genetic problems.

A good response is frequently obtained for the following: Chronic Fatigue, Depression, Sinus, Headaches, Anxiety, Digestive Disorders, Strained Neck, Backache, Emotional Imbalance, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Asthma and Painful Periods.

THE TREATMENT ITSELF – STATE OF RECEPTIVITY

The patient needs to tune into a state of Receptivity by taking one of the designed postures advised by Master before commencement. These are symbols of your body that allows the body to interact and receive the Qi energy for energy improvement and balancing. A close analogy for this is that a radio must be tuned to a particular frequency in order to receive waves from a source station.

For effective treatment, sensations such as tingling, numbness, distension, hot warm, cold, itchy, heavy, light, floating, sore, vibrating etc may need to be felt by the patient. For the best results, patients should be warm, relaxed and not overly hungry at the time of treatment. People who are physically exhausted, fasted or suffering from psychiatric disorders should not undergo treatment. Pregnancy and the use of anticoagulants should be declared prior to treatment. Most medical drugs do not inhibit Qigong Therapy’s efficacy. If in doubt ask your Therapist.

NUMBER OF TREATMENTS

The number of treatments necessary varies with the nature, severity and chronicity of the complaints.

In some cases, for example, headache or some pain states such as neck & back pain, relief may be obtained after one or two treatments.

In general however most complaints require up to three treatments before marked relief is noted. Return to normal, increase of energy & vitality usually precede pain relief. A course of 7 to 10 treatments is recommended for a better evaluated results.

SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects can be reduced or eliminated to minimum under the care of a properly trained therapist. However, while undergoing health restoration it is not uncommon to have reactions which may be both annoying and uncomfortable. A reaction may express itself in a manner different from the original complaint (e.g. temporary tiredness). Reaction is a healthy change occurring within the body. The internal energy system is being adjusted to a more functional position and associated structures must adapt accordingly.

TREATMENT COMBINED WITH TRADITIONAL CHINESE THERAPIES

In the hospitals in China, Qigong Therapy is often combined with herbs and or Qigong exercise, Acupuncture and dietary advice together to offer the best possible combined effects for the best treatment of the patient. This reflects the ancient Chinese philosophy of holistic healing. The specific combinations have achieved remarkable clinical results with a larger range of chronic condition including cancer.
